Search Committee Recommends Anthony Castro

At our quarterly members' meeting, we elected a search committee to find the person God is calling to be our next Youth Minister. The members of this committee are Kevin Langdon (chair), Sofie Doolittle, Makinzzie Martinez, Ken McCool, Susan Monk, and Ashley Shaw. They have voted unanimously to recommend Anthony Castro for this position.

Anthony has served as our Interim Youth Minister since October. He has been a member of FBC Ralls since February of 2023 and was ordained as a deacon on April 27, 2025.

Anthony has recognized the Lord's call on his life to serve in vocational ministry. He will graduate from the Leadership Development Center of the Lubbock Area Baptist Association in May. After graduation, he plans to enter their Master's-level program to further his ministry education so that he may serve the Lord to the best of his ability.

During Anthony's time at FBC Ralls, we have observed his passion for the Lord and his love for the youth. He has served faithfully wherever he has been given the opportunity and is growing our youth program both numerically and spiritually. His teaching is biblically sound, and his leadership has been excellent.

I have watched him respond to our students' most difficult questions with both grace and truth. He is investing deeply in our students both on and off church property. I am delighted to join the search committee in enthusiastically recommending Anthony Castro to be our Youth Minister.

The church will hold a special called members meeting immediately following the worship service on Sunday, May 3 to vote on calling Brother Anthony. Please make every effort to be there and vote according to your conscience. We have seen Brother Anthony's life and ministry up close. Let us pray that the Lord will make His will absolutely clear to us on Sunday.
